Experience
Here are some of the most formative and meaningful professional and educational opportunities I’ve had:
Led public speaking classes for brand new as well as more experienced people at adult education centers in the Greater Boston area.
Mediated small claims court cases, landlord/tenant disputes and interpersonal issues. Trained member of the Harvard Mediation Program of Harvard Law School. Experience with marital mediation. Coached Harvard students and new mediators.
Produced written and video content for TMCYouth.com, a website for spiritually seeking young adults. Wrote and edited a variety of youth-oriented prose and poetry for a large online audience. Conducted several interviews of interfaith leaders and produced videos on youth and spirituality.
Facilitated communication between writers, designers, and production staff during start-up phase of mybiblelesson.com, an online weekly subscription Bible study resource product. Wrote and edited content, collaborated on design and marketing strategies. Worked with team to secure funding and ensure continued success.
Taught reading and writing skills to inmates at Suffolk County House of Correction. Attendance in classes among highest and most consistent in educational programs. Enhanced classroom environment through use of creative techniques such as teaching literacy through use of hip hop music and simulating a work environment in order to foster job readiness upon release.
Gave student commencement address upon receiving Master of Divinity at Andover Newton Theological School. Received the R. Dean Goodwin Award for Excellence in Communication. Spoke at school chapel services and as guest preacher at churches in and beyond Boston area.
Several smaller projects are not listed here, but information about them can be provided upon request.
